Purpose: To improve the light environment in the reception and to also supplement with new interior design and a new color palette.
Challenge: The light level in the room was a little too low for both visitors and staff. The fixtures was also glaring when in use. Overall, the lighting was not fully adapted based on the needs of the users.
Goal: To create an environment that is as pleasant, inviting and calm as it is functional and synergonomically good.

Waiting room
Adding curtains helps create a soft, warm and inviting feel. The curtains spread over the entire wall and thus frame the room better, making it feel more cozy and inviting. Placing the light at a lower light spot height also makes the room feel lower and calmer. Light, colors and materials interact in a better way than before and make the room feel more uniform.
Reception
Early in the process, I came to the conclusion that a lighter color is needed on the wall and the shelf by the reception door. A background that is too dark means that a bright fixture risks dazzling. A lighter surface also helps to spread the light, which means that the fixture itself does not have to shine as brightly. The new wall fixture means that soft light spreads out on the wall, and that the receptionists can more easily see the visitors outside the door. The shelf will be mounted again under the door, and is now repainted in the same color as the wall.

The focus was to create both a clear and aesthetically pleasing environment.
Purpose: To guide and emphasize the environment with light. The light would contribute to a pleasant atmosphere for the visitors.
